Javalot Jive: Back to Its Roots

Apparently, my idea of a website refresh is going back to 2003. And honestly? I’m liking it.

Javalot Jive has been around since then, with stretches of activity and stretches of collecting digital dust. Bringing it back reminded me how much I liked the original look: a simple layout, a proper sidebar, and a little personality. So the retro goodness is making a comeback—with fewer shadows. Apparently, I really loved shadows.

The technology has moved on a bit, too. I started working with SharePoint in 2007, and today I’m a Microsoft Solutions Architect working across Azure, Microsoft 365, Power Platform, SharePoint, and Teams. There’s plenty to write about, especially the things that take three hours to figure out and five minutes to explain once you know how.

That’s where this site is headed: practical how-tos, useful discoveries, and the occasional rant when something that should work… doesn’t.

There are still a few things to straighten out around here. But the old place is coming back to life.

Same Jive. Fresh coffee.
